All STUDENTS are urged to come and present a paper or poster at the Fall 2016 meeting.
Middle States Division AAG encourages all graduate and undergraduate students to submit and present research papers to the Student Paper Competition of the MSDAAG annual conference. Both graduate and undergraduate competitions have a First Prize of $100 and a Second Prize of $50.
The AAG has just announced the AAG Council Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Paper at a Regional Meeting. The First Place Graduate Paper Awardee will receive $1,000 in funding from the AAG to be used for registration and travel costs to the AAG Annual Meeting.
Completed papers must follow the Middle States Geographer guidelines which can be found here. Entrants should submit abstracts not to exceed 250 words and send electronic copies of completed papers by October 20, 2016 to Dr. Pankaj Lal at lalp@mail.montclair.edu Student Paper Competition Chair (late papers may be considered, please contact Dr. Lal if you have a paper that you still want to submit).
There is also a student poster competition, with a $100 first prize award and a $50 second prize award. There are both graduate and undergraduate categories. Please use the online registration form and select Student and Poster.
All papers and posters must be solely authored by undergraduate or graduate student/s. Faculty cannot be co-authors in the student competition. Faculty can co-author papers/posters for presentation at the conference.
